The Aspire mentoring program was created in 1985 through a partnership between Yakima Downtown Rotary and the United Way. Their goal was to match kids in need of role models with caring adults that can help them on their life path.

 

After a couple of years, the Rotary committee realized that the program was too large for them to manage alone and began looking for help. The Yakima YMCA agreed to take on the project as their own. Since then, the program has expanded to levels that organizers never could have imagined.

 

Zirkle Fruit Company sponsors the Aspire mentoring program and supports volunteerism within our Zirkle Community.
