Yakima Arboretum Luminary Walk

 

For the past 10+ years, Zirkle Fruit Company has been the exclusive sponsor of our local Yakima Arboretum's Annual Luminary walk which take place the three (3) weekends before Christmas. We provide over 300+ DOZEN assorted, homemade cookies (and this amount grows each year), 4-5 boxes of apples and over 2,000 candy canes for the community to enjoy with their hot cider, cocoa or coffee after they walk the Arboretum's beautiful displays of lit trees and luminary pathways. As you can imagine, the bakers in our commercial-grade cafeterias at our Selah-Harrison Road facility start baking cookies for this event months in advance and they love every minute of it. Our bakers get to enjoy all the smiles on the faces of the children when they deliver their baked goods as people come from miles away for this beautiful and festive holiday activity.
